Governor’s Message    Anhui Province enjoys a long history, brilliant culture, beautiful landscape and a good ecological environment. The land is filled with fascination, vitality and wonders. In Chinese writing, Hui (a.’), which is a short name for Anhui Province, combines elements of mountain (.…..), water (à.), human (.à) and culture (.OE..), giving a vivid portrait of the province.     The Yangtze River within Anhui.’s territory is as long as four hundred kilometers. The Huaihe River has witnessed ups and downs of Chinese five-thousand-year civilization. This ancient land ever gave birth to the profound Hui Culture, and saw the rising of Hui merchants who had ever dominated the business world for hundreds of years. Going back to the history, it.’s found that Hui merchants never stopped pursuing Confucius study while seeking business success. They value faithfulness, honesty and hardworking, and created miracles such as .“There.’s no town without Hui merchants.”, leaving behind excellent spirit that will pass on to generations after generations.     As time moves on, Hui merchants in the new era have achieved new success in the process of Anhui.’s scientific development and accelerated rising. Anhui today has grown to be a significant provincial economy with GDP exceeding one trillion RMB, and striding forward to the forefront of the Central China Rising Strategy.     The rising of Anhui is resulted from the best combination of time, place and people, the best combination of natural resources, human resources and creative resources, and also the best combination of market expansion, land development and environmental capacity. The construction of the demonstration area in the city belt along the Yangtze River to undertake the industrial transfer and the pilot province of the state technology innovation project has built an important strategic platform for Anhui.’s development, and will promote Anhui to obtain more achievements in speeding up the transformation of economic development patterns and realizing long-term sound and fast development.     To construct the demonstration area in the city belt along the Yangtze River to undertake the industrial transfer is the state strategy and the only regional development plan in China designed for undertaking industrial transfer. On the basis of the construction, the city belt along the Yangtze River will be built into a forerunner of cooperative development, an experimental area of scientific development, and a state key base for advanced manufacturing industries and modern service. With the construction, a scientific route to industrial transfer will be explored for the large Central China Area and a broad stage will be provided for investors from home and abroad to invest and develop in Anhui .     We sincerely welcome investors from all over the world to initiate successful business in Anhui , particular in the demonstration area for industrial transfer, achieving a great success of win-win cooperation.
