Adjoining Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces on the east, and neighbouring Shandong Province on the north, Anhui Province serves as the forward area that connects economic radiation and industry shifting from coastal developed regions. With Hubei, Henan provinces on the west and Jiangxi province on the south, Anhui is also the bridgehead where China implements the strategies of the western regions development and the middle regions emergence, and has unique locational advantages of bearing the east and opening the west, connecting the north and the south.
